Half potato and halfcelery rootin yourmash.

Half linguine and halfspiralized zucchini noodleswith your famous Sunday gravy.

Half regular sugar and halfsugar substitutein your bakes.

But frankly, many of these dishes are just as delicious when less sweet.

Use apple butter or unsweetenedapplesauceto sweeten things up in your sauces instead of adding sugar or syrup.

Use almond flour for filler

Dishes like meatballs or meatloaves require a filler to help keep them light.

But choosing wisely and focusing on moderation is going to be key.

There are also several dessert options that are lower in added sugar and fit well into a diabetes-friendly pattern.
