Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion; cook, stirring, until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add beef; cook, stirring to crumble, until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add chili powder, cumin and paprika; cook, stirring often, for 1 minute.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
Top with tortilla chips and cheese.

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Uncover and bake until lightly browned and bubbling on the edges, about 10 more minutes.
