If you’re looking for a simple weeknight pasta dish, look no further.
Add pasta and cook according to package directions.
Reserve 1/2 cup of the cooking water.

Drain the pasta and return to the pot.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add onion and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
Whisk mascarpone, yogurt, garlic powder and the reserved pasta water together in a small bowl.
Add to the pasta along with the broccoli mixture.
Stir well to coat.
Cover and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
