These garlic-Parmesan green beans are a quick and easy side dish made in just one skillet.

They pair beautifully with anything from roasted chicken to grilled steak, baked salmon or stuffed portobello mushrooms.

Add trimmed green beans; cook, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.

Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons Parmesan.

Add frozen beans to the pan and cook until theyre warmed throughout and bright green.

Add the seasonings to the pan after any water in the pan has evaporated.

(For curvier beans, its easier to trim them individually with a knife or kitchen scissors.)

You only have to trim the stem ends where the bean was attached to the plant.

The tapered end can be left intact.

Rinse the beans under cool water to clean them.

Take these beans up a notch by adding chopped toasted almonds or walnuts on top.

you could swap out the Parmesan for another crumbling cheese like feta, goat cheese or blue cheese.
