Why Does Cabbage Make You Gassy?

Cabbage can cause gas for a couple of reasons, says MacLeod.

First up, cabbage has fiber.

Gas is a byproduct of this process, she says.

This carb is particularly hard to digest.

Our bodies cannot fully break down this sugar, MacLeod says.

As it travels into your colon, the sugar is fermented.

That producesyou guessed itmore gas.

Raffinose isnt all bad news, though.
