Jane Doerfer was a writer and culinary educator for more than 30 years.
Her other cookbooks include The Victory Garden Cookbook, Pantry Gourmet and two collaborations with Legal Sea Foods.
She owned two inns, in Florida and Vermont, and offered cooking lessons at both.
Jane died in May 2019.
