This loaded broccoli-and-beef casserole is packed with comforting flavors.

To keep prep simple, look for bags of pre-cut broccoli florets.

Coat a 9-by-13-inch broiler-safe baking dish with cooking spray.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Transfer to a large bowl.

Wipe the skillet clean.

Drain the broccoli thoroughly; add to the beef in the bowl.

Spread the mixture in the prepared baking dish; top with the remaining 12 cup Cheddar.

Cover tightly with foil.

Bake until warmed through, about 30 minutes.

Remove from oven; remove foil.

Increase oven temperature to broil.

Broil until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes.

Let stand for 5 minutes.

Sprinkle with 13 cup bacon and 14 cup scallions.
