If you might’t find ginger syrup in stores, you might easily make your own.
Divide evenly between 2 ice-filled glasses.
Garnish with lime wedges and/or crystallized ginger, if desired.

Remove from heat; let stand for 30 minutes.
Pour through a fine-mesh strainer into an airtight container (discard solids).
Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
