Cover and microwave on High until bright green but still crisp, about 3 minutes.
Carefully drain the sprouts; pat dry with a paper towel.
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add the drained sprouts, salt and crushed red pepper; toss to coat in oil.
Turn the sprouts cut-sides down.
Cook, undisturbed, until browned, 2 to 3 minutes.

Transfer the sprouts to a platter; drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with lemon zest.
